WEATHER SYSTEMS AND EXPECTED RESULTS:.

An inland high pressure area over South Africa is suppressing cloud development. Therefore, expect generally warm and mostly sunny conditions over most areas. Cool to cold conditions at night and early morning hours.

SHIRE VALLEY: (Areas along Shire river, Lakes Chilwa and Chiuta Valleys)

 Fog during morning. Hot and generally sunny conditions during the afternoon. 

Forecast Temperatures: Ngabu Min. 20oC and Max.31oC 

SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS:

(Shire highlands, Kirk Range up to Dedza)

Cool and cloudy with fog in the morning. Expect mostly sunny and warm during the afternoon.

 Forecast Temperatures: Blantyre Min 14oC and Max. 24oC 

CENTRAL AREAS: (Lilongwe, Mchinji, Dowa, Ntchisi, Kasungu and part of Mzimba District)

Cold during morning. Warm and mostly sunny conditions later in the day

Forecast Temperatures: Lilongwe Min 12oC and Max. 25oC

LAKESHORE AREAS: (Areas along Lake Malawi)

Cool during morning. It will be hot and partly cloudy during the afternoon. 

Forecast Temperatures: Mangochi Min. 18oC and Max.30oC

NORTHERN AREAS: (All areas north of Mzimba)

Cold during morning. Mild to warm and partly cloudy during the afternoon.

Forecast Temperatures: Mzuzu Min. 16oC and Max. 25oC

WINDS IN MOST AREAS:

Winds: Generally light  easterly.
